Apple (and pear) picking

Today we went apple picking.  We found a farm through a website called pickyourown.org (which is for the U.S. as well.)  The farm we found was about 20 minutes away.  Just a small farm not far outside London, but it felt like we were out in the country.

They had lots of different apples to pick as well as pears.  The kids had a lot of fun checking out the fruit on the trees and picking off the best ones.  We stopped on the way home for a pub lunch.  It wasn't exactly the most authentic of pubs, but the food was pretty good.

We didn't fill Ben's container, but we still have more than enough apples now!

Making a good choice.

Maybe they're better if their higher up...

Lots of fruit at child-height.

Looks like a real fun time!
Ben and Sue look like they fit right in picking apples. Hope they were good.
We just bought some old Walmart apples. We need to go to Cherry Hill Orchards and get some fresh apples.
